South Port Marine started as Marine East Marina, built by the McCarty and Reed families in the early 1960s at 14 Ocean Street in South Portland, Maine. The Reynolds family acquired the yard in September of 1996 and built it into the full-service marine facility it runs as today.

The property sits right across the bridge from Portland’s historic Old Port, minutes from the Portland International Jetport, with restaurants, shops, and supermarkets within walking distance of the docks.

South Port Marine runs boat sales, service, marina dockage, and storage from one waterfront property. That is how the yard was set up. You buy the boat, dock it on site, get it serviced by the same crew that rigged it, and store it indoors when winter hits. One address handles every part of owning a boat on Casco Bay.

THE FACILITY

The Yard & What It Holds

170 wet slips accommodate yachts up to 150 feet with drafts up to 8 feet at MLW. Year-round wet and dry storage is available. Live-aboards are welcome.

Indoor storage runs in a 12,000 square foot heated facility built to keep hulls, engines, and electronics out of the Maine winter.

SERVICE DEPARTMENT

Who Works on Your Boat

Trained and certified technicians handle seasonal engine maintenance, full engine replacements, restoration work, systems troubleshooting, and rigging. The service department also runs repower jobs on existing stern drive or outboard boats with Mercury and Yamaha power.

Fischer Panda generators and a full line of Selden Sta-Lok rigging products and services are available on site.
